چکیده

TwoTowers is a software tool for the functional verification and performance evaluation of computer, communication and software systems represented through stochastic process algebra (SPA). In this paper we describe a novel version (3.0), in which the modeling language is no longer a pure SPA, but a SPA-based architectural description language called Æmilia. We show that TwoTowers 3.0 improves on the previous version in terms of usability, because Æmilia hides most of the technicalities of SPA, and also in terms of efficiency, bacause a new algorithm for state space generation has been implemented.

Implementing Symbolic Models for Value Passing in TwoTowers

We describe an extension of TwoTowers, a software tool for the functional and performance analysis of concurrent and distributed systems modeled in EMPA, in which a symbolic model based support for data driven computations is implemented and we recall its advantages both from the expressiveness and the analysis standpoint.

TwoTowers: A Tool Integrating Functional and Performance Analysis of Concurrent Systems

We present TwoTowers, a tool for analyzing functional and performance properties of concurrent systems expressed as terms in the stochastically timed reward process algebra EMPAr. TwoTowers builds on two existing tools, CWB-NC and MarCA, that have been retargeted to carry out functional and performance analysis (respectively) of EMPAr system specifications. As an example, we describe the applic...

Enhancing Spatial Data Accessibility in Ghana: Prioritization of Influencing Factors Using AHP

The need to improve access to spatial data has attracted both research and policy attention because it is considered as one of the key requirements for sustainable development. Since multiple stakeholders are involved in the spectrum from spatial data production to use, an effort to make spatial data widely accessible requires multi-stakeholder approaches to foster consensus over multiple decis...

PET-USES: Privacy-Enhancing Technology - Users' Self-Estimation Scale

This paper describes the “Privacy-Enhancing Technology Users’ Self-Estimation Scale (PET-USES)”, a questionnaire that enables users to evaluate PET user interfaces for their overall usability and to measure six different PET aspects. The PET-USES is intended to be used during usability testing and evaluation of PET user interfaces. The focus of the PET-USES is the subjective experience of the u...
